Hi Naoko,

Thanks for reaching out! If you are accessing controlled access data in AnVIL and you have approval from dbGaP to access the dataset(s), you will need to link your eRA commons account with Terra to see the dataset(s). There are details on how you can do that here: Requesting Data Access.

To be able to access the data through a PI’s application, you need an eRA commons account linked to your institutional email and be listed as a downloader on the application with that eRA commons account. Once that’s set up, you can then link your Terra account and eRA commons account together. That takes 6 hours for the linking to occur and for the system to authorize and authenticate your credentials.
